Janitorial Porter

About the role

The Porter position is an hourly, non-exempt role within Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS), a leading provider of facility services in North America. This role involves providing excellent cleaning services, interacting with customers, and fulfilling daily janitorial duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent cleaning services, often requiring interaction with customers and prioritizing work based on customer needs.
• Work in high-volume and heavy traffic sites, or as an onsite individual crew member, ensuring successful daily customer interaction and fulfillment of related requests.
• Maintain excellent customer relations while executing customer requests and meeting daily janitorial duties.
• Show a broad knowledge of cleaning and janitorial processes and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Lead and provide solutions to various problems as directed by managers.

Requirements

• Able to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds and walk frequently throughout the shift.
• Capable of standing and walking for up to 10-12 hours.
• Able to carry out detailed or written instructions.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and chemical handling sheets.
• Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
