Janitorial Porter
About the role
The Porter position at Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) involves providing excellent cleaning services, interacting with customers, and prioritizing work based on customer needs. This role requires working in high-volume and heavy traffic sites or as an onsite individual crew member, where successful daily customer interaction and fulfillment of related requests are crucial. The Porter works directly with customers daily and maintains excellent customer relations while completing janitorial duties. The role demands a broad knowledge of cleaning and janitorial processes, as well as strong customer service skills and the ability to lead and solve various problems.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent cleaning services
- Interact with customers and prioritize work based on customer needs
- Work in high-volume and heavy traffic sites or as an onsite individual crew member
- Execute customer requests and meet daily janitorial duties
- Maintain excellent customer relations
- Lead and provide solutions to various problems
Requirements
- Able to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds
- Walk in and around the facility frequently throughout the shift
- Stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours
- Carry out detailed or written instructions
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required)
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers

$16.0 per hour
Schedule
Shifts available from 2pm - 8pm on Fridays through Sundays.
