Janitorial Assistant

About the role

The Salvation Army is hiring a Janitor for the Day Camp season in Levittown, PA. The position is immediate and flexible, offering 20 hours a week either from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The position is non-exempt with a salary of $10.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Daily wipe down chairs and tables in fellowship hall
• Daily sweep and mop fellowship hall and classroom floors
• Daily dust mop gym floor
• Daily clean bathrooms in Fellowship Hall and restock
• Avoid removal of trash and take to dumpster
• Avoid assist with setting up rooms for day camp as needed- tables chairs special activities, etc.
• Avoid assist with yard maintenance including but not limited to; clean up of debris/yard waste, trash pick up of entire property, weeding front landscaping.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or High School Equivalency diploma
• Must complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check
• Must complete Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training
• Must understand and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army
