Janitorial Assistant

About the role

Aid the maintenance technician with daily janitorial tasks during the day camp season. Duties include:

• Daily wipe down chairs and tables in fellowship hall
• Daily sweep and mop fellowship hall and classroom floors
• Daily dust mop gym floor
• Daily clean bathrooms in Fellowship Hall and restock
• Remove trash and take to dumpster
• Assist with setting up rooms for day camp as needed
• Assist with yard maintenance including cleaning up debris, trash pick-up, and weeding front landscaping

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School graduate or High School Equivalency diploma
• Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law requires the following clearances and background checks:
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance
• PA State Police Criminal Record Check
• PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check
• Completion of a Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment
• Must understand and support the Mission of The Salvation Army
