Janitor - Tooele Army Depot

About the Role

This is a full-time position working four 9 to 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday. ServiceSource is a nonprofit organization that champions people with disabilities and operates within the AbilityOne program, hiring persons with significant disabilities for the majority of direct labor positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties at Tooele Army Depot on a daily basis per schedule, including cleaning restrooms, dusting, performing floor work, mopping, and collecting trash.
• Maintain janitorial storage room in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion.
• Ensure all supplies are stored and used in sequence; order replacement supplies as needed.
• May assist with driving for vehicle drops for maintenance, supplies, or personnel transport.
• Disinfect PARC vans at the end of shift.
• Pick up litter outside of PARC building.
• May drive a PARC van to transport other workers to cleaning sites.
• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred; no prior work experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation for work-related travel.
• Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR) if assigned to drive.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to recognize and/or read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words.
• Ability to understand and carry out one- or two-step instructions and follow visual cues.
• Ability to work in a team setting or independently in the absence of supervision.
• Ability to stay on task and complete assigned duties within a scheduled time frame.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
