Janitor

Job Description

The Janitor position at Diversified Maintenance is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside buildings or multiple client sites. Duties may include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming floors, cleaning restrooms, monitoring and maintaining restrooms, corridors, and entrance areas, emptying trash cans, replenishing paper products and sanitary supplies, and occasionally using heavy cleaning equipment.

• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies according to the housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Perform other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a janitorial type position.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively.

Benefits

Full-time positions offer a pay rate of $16.00 per hour, with weekly pay.

Pay

The pay rate for the Janitor position is $16.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time positions are available from 5:30 PM to 2 AM, Monday through Friday.
