Responsibilities

  • Cleans, sweeps, vacuums, mops office facilities and/or customer areas on aircrafts in accordance with specific cleaning protocols.
  • Dusts both low and high areas.
  • Wipes down or cleans various surfaces.
  • Uses appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks.
  • Removes and properly disposes of discarded materials.
  • Removes and transports trash to the appropriate disposal areas.
  • May compact trash.
  • Maintains building entryways free of snow and debris.
  • Operates a vehicle to work at various locations.
  • Performs a variety of special duties such as certain types of laundry duties or periodic cleaning tasks.
  • Assists with transporting passengers requiring wheelchair assistance within the terminal and aircraft.
  • Supports wheelchair passengers with their carry-on bags, assisted devices and checked luggage.
  • Follows cleaning and security protocols.
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Uses equipment and materials properly.

Qualifications

  • Some combination or education or experience that evidences a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes.
  • Able to pass a background check and physical evaluation.
  • Able to follow established procedures and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in day to day activities.
  • Able to look for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Able to apply feedback to improve performance.
  • Meets productivity standards, completes work in a timely manner, and strives to increase personal productivity.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Able to work effectively with a minimum of supervision or support.
  • Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Alaska Driver’s License with a 3-year clean driving record.
  • Insurable by NMS/NDC insurance company.
  • Incumbent must be able to uphold a current State of Alaska driver’s license.
