Responsibilities
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SCHOOL JANITOR - CLEANER
- Keep facilities looking good
- Arrive ready to clean
- Work efficiently while being friendly and service-oriented
- Perform tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, sanitizing, restocking rooms, and light maintenance
- Remove trash and transport it to appropriate areas
- Help with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs
- Feel proud of the school after each shift
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SCHOOL JANITOR - CLEANER
- At least 6 months of experience demonstrating a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes
- The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable 3-year driving record to the company’s insurance carrier
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Preferred qualifications include fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English
