Responsibilities

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SCHOOL JANITOR - CLEANER

• Keep facilities looking good
• Arrive ready to clean
• Work efficiently while being friendly and service-oriented
• Perform tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, sanitizing, restocking rooms, and other janitorial work
• Remove trash and transport it to appropriate areas
• Help with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs
• Feel proud of the school after each shift

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SCHOOL JANITOR - CLEANER

• At least 6 months of experience demonstrating a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes
• The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable 3-year driving record to the company’s insurance carrier
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred qualifications include fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English
