About the role

The Navy Exchange Lemoore seeks a Janitor to support the local Naval community and ensure operational success.

Responsibilities

• Conducts full range of cleaning & janitorial tasks including cleaning and maintaining machines/equipment.
• Performs basic building maintenance tasks and using hand tools such as hammers, handsaws, screwdrivers, wrenches etc.
• Follows all local safety regulations.
• Informs supervisor of hazardous conditions.
• May operate motor vehicle in the performance of the duties.

Requirements

• Six months of experience performing cleaning tasks using industrial type cleaning equipment.
• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Pass a pre-employment criminal & motor vehicle background check.
• Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements: Moderately heavy physical effort is used occasionally in moving, setting up and working from ladders/scaffolds.
• Frequently lifts and moves objects weighing about 40 pounds.
• Occasionally lifts and moves objects weighing over 50 pounds.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
