About the role
Responsible for keeping the plant, kitchen/training room, break area, and restroom facilities clean and providing relief for various positions as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Keeps areas stocked with gloves (e.g. dock, hangers’ room, packers’ area, spraybooth, tempering oven, and cutting line) as per the work instruction
- Provides necessary solutions for various areas
- Sweeps floor in the plant and outside the perimeter of the building as per the work instruction
- Removes snow with snow blower and/or shovel and puts down salt
- Checks the eye wash stations, refills the solution as needed, completes the accompanying log, and checks the Emergency showers for proper flow of water through the shower head
- Cleans/dusts the AED unit enclosure and checks the green battery indicator light
- Removes garbage from various areas in the plant and puts in central area at the dock for pick-up
- Cleans kitchen/training room, break area, vending machines, restroom facilities, and mezzanine
- Completes shift inspection form # 35
- Affords assistance in all areas as directed - for example helps with oncoming precut parts etc…
- Relieves other employees if directed by Production Supervisor for example in the hangers room and the final inspection area etc…
- Accurately inspects glass at a rate consistent
- Does general plant clean-up
- Keeps the bathrooms stocked with the appropriate paper products (i.e. paper towels and toilet paper both the production and main office)
- Fills out checklist form and turns into the appropriate supervisor at the end of the shift
- Packing and weighing sample boxes for shipment as necessary, ensuring that the contents of the boxes are secured to avoid damage
- Puts outgoing packages on the UPS table, incoming must be distribute to the corresponding person
- Receives and verifies incoming supplies against the packing slip to ensure that shipment is complete and puts supplies away
- Performs lawn maintenance duties at Exchange building
- Does all other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements
- Completion of primary school with related experience or three-month related experience and/or training
- An individual is considered qualified upon notification by the PS or department head to the DHR that the employee has successfully completed the training and is qualified to perform the position
- Basic knowledge of English (ability to understand work instructions and to provide additional information during the production)
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to oral and/or written instructions provided by the Production Supervisor
