JANITOR III - OAHU CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES

About the role

This vacancy is located at the Women's Community Correctional Center in Kailua. This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in keeping assigned buildings and building areas clean and orderly, including heavy lifting, cleaning places and equipment which are not easily accessible, simple building repair work and operating industrial type cleaning equipment;
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Legal Authorization To Work Requirement: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• General Experience: Two (2) years of janitorial or related custodial work such as sweeping, dusting and cleaning of buildings.
• Supervisory Aptitude: Possession of Supervisory Aptitude demonstrated through regular or special assignments involving some supervisory responsibilities.
• Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment.
• Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Requirement: No engagement in sexual abuse or conviction of sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, threats, or coercion.
