About The Role

Janitors play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all users. Their responsibilities include basic cleaning, minor maintenance, supply inventory, and security tasks. They are essential for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities.

• Clean and sanitize various areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, breakrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, and conducting routine facility inspections.
• Ensure restrooms and cleaning stations are stocked with necessary supplies like toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and cleaning products.
• Monitor inventory levels to report needs to the purchasing department.
• Handle outdoor tasks such as sweeping walkways and removing litter.
• Conduct security duties including locking and unlocking buildings, monitoring access points, and reporting suspicious activities.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks such as waxing floors, shampooing carpets, and cleaning exterior windows.

What You’ll Bring

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Previous janitorial experience is a plus.
• An attention to detail, keen eye for identifying areas needing cleaning or maintenance.
• Physical stamina to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, stooping, walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Time management skills to complete tasks within designated hours, especially in facilities operating during business hours.
• Adaptability to handle new demands and unexpected situations.
