About the role

Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the junior-varsity sports program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all coaching duties for the JV team
• Attend staff meetings called by the principal, athletic director, or head coach
• Plan and manage practice schedules
• Issue, maintain, and collect team equipment
• Arrange transportation for away games
• Monitor team members’ academic progress throughout the school year
• Recruit and secure personnel such as team managers and game scorers
• Supervise athletes after practices or games until all have left school grounds
• Scout opponents when possible
• Provide first aid for injuries in the absence of the athletic trainer
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the head coach
