About the role

The JV Softball Coach will help build and maintain the girls' softball program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining levels of competition
• Organize summer camps for current and prospective players
• Monitor all athletes' academic progress alongside the head coach
• Assess players' skills and assign positions on the team
• Help organize practice schedules under the direction of the head coach
• Plan individual practices to provide individual and team development
• Follow team rules and goals shared with players and parents
• Adhere to established procedures in the event of an athlete's injury
• Ensure all athletes are supervised at all times during team activities
• Maintain proper sportsmanship and serve as a positive role model
• Maintain an inventory of all equipment
• Attend professional development clinics/conferences specific to girls' softball

Qualifications

• ISBE certified or ASEP certified
• Previous coaching experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
