Pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Megan Kruse as the Director of Breast Medical Oncology and Co-Leader of the Breast Cancer Program at Cleveland Clinic.

About the Role

• Dr. Kruse received her MD from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
• She completed her Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, where she served as Chief Fellow, and joined the medical staff in 2017.

Leadership Roles

• Associate Program Director of the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program from 2020 to 2024
• Director of Breast Cancer Clinical Research beginning in 2024
• Medical Director of the Taussig Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office in July 2025

Areas of Expertise

• Primary area of clinical and translational investigation: Optimization of care for patients with lobular breast cancer
• Developed the Comprehensive Lobular Breast Cancer Program at Cleveland Clinic
• Includes a dedicated invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) clinical care pathway, an integrated research program, and a philanthropy fund supporting ILC-focused initiatives
