About the role

Responsible for leading and managing the music program at Jackson Northwest Kidder MS, including curriculum development, student performance, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive music education program aligned with district goals
• Manage and direct the school band, ensuring high-quality performances and musical growth
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience
• Engage with the community through outreach programs and events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field
• Experience as a band director or equivalent
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to manage a budget and resources effectively

Qualifications

• Passion for music education and working with young musicians
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of current best practices in music education

Skills

• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

Pay

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications
