JP is a two-year-old, 36-pound Shepherd and Basenji mix ready for adoption. This sweet pup lived in a hoarding situation and never received love, attention, or enough food. Despite his past, JP is eager to please, housebroken, and knows a few basic commands. He is a total delight in familiar surroundings but may be uncomfortable in new settings or experiences.

• Not comfortable around other pets for snuggling but can walk and play in a yard with another dog
