Responsibilities
- Provides service support to the customer base within the medical center.
- Maintains the proper environment to ensure the medical center can perform its service to the community and support the function of building systems.
- Backfills for the duties of the Refrigeration Mechanic A at any time as required.
- Maintains uninterrupted services to a very diverse customer base including a trauma medical center, research and teaching facilities.
- Complies with the safety regulations and policies of the University of Rochester, MCFO and all local state and Federal agencies having jurisdiction.
Qualifications
- High school education and 4-6 years experience as a building HVAC and controls mechanic; experience in an electrical/mechanical trade education or related environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Ability to read and write English and make mathematical calculations required.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations required.
- PREFERRED: An associate's degree in a relevant field.
