ITC Hatchery - Hatchery Worker Labor (Egg Setter) FT- 1st Shift

Rehire eligibility: Will not consider applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 times or more and require a 180-day waiting period. Must have 6 months consecutive work history with one employer within the previous 12 months. Only applicants from Washington, Benton, and Madison counties in AR, Adair County in OK, or within a 50-mile radius of the ITC Hatchery will be considered. Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl (e.g., yard chickens, parakeets, parrots). An Animal Welfare background check is required.

Schedule

• Shift: 1st (4-Day Work Week: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
• Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM or until finished (flexible schedule required)

Pay

$18.70 base rate per hour

Responsibilities

• Set eggs and move racks of product weighing approximately 900 lbs. or greater consistently throughout the day (approximately 48 racks or boxes)
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, including operating machinery, counting, reading, scrubbing, soaping, rinsing, disinfecting, mopping, or buffing to meet sanitation requirements
• Practice safe and delicate egg and chick handling
• Promote and follow proper Animal Welfare Guidelines
• Perform heavy lifting (up to 30 lbs. occasionally) and physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching for up to 10+ hours per shift
• Work in environments with high concentrations of allergens (e.g., chick down, dust) and varying climates (cold to hot temperatures with high humidity)
• Complete all tasks or duties as assigned by management
