IT Vendor & Applications AnalystLocation: Remote (Supporting a client in Hartford, CT) Job Type: Contract (8+ Months)Hours: 40 Weekly Days: Monday- Friday OverviewWe are seeking an organized and proactive IT Vendor & Applications Analyst to support a large-scale enterprise initiative involving application lifecycle management, software portfolio optimization, and vendor coordination.This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, procurement, finance, and other cross-functional groups to help manage application-related projects, track key milestones, drive accountability, and ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical teams, and is comfortable following up on action items to keep projects moving forward. ResponsibilitiesCoordinate application-related projects and technology initiatives across multiple business unitsAct as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party software vendorsGather, document, and track business and technical requirementsMaintain project plans, status reports, risk logs, and action item trackersSupport software vendor management activities, including renewals, licensing reviews, contract administration, and service agreementsReview vendor proposals, statements of work, pricing models, and licensing optionsTrack project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and escalation itemsAssist with application onboarding, migration, enhancement, and retirement effortsCoordinate with Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Technology teams throughout project lifecyclesAnalyze data and create reports using Microsoft Excel and other business toolsIdentify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and operational efficiencyPrepare project updates and executive-level status communications Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:Business AnalysisIT Project CoordinationIT Vendor ManagementApplications SupportBusiness Systems AnalysisTechnology OperationsExperience working with software vendors, service providers, or technology partnersStrong organizational and project tracking skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookAbility to work independently and drive initiatives forward with minimal supervisionPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting application rationalization or decommissioning projectsExperience working with SaaS applications and enterprise software environmentsExposure to software licensing, renewals, or contract managementExperience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or business transformation initiativesFamiliarity with ERP systems or enterprise business applicationsBackground in manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or regulated environments Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
