IT Training Content and Design Manager

Key Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions
- Lead and personally contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of IT training content, including courses, job aids, and learning paths.
- Manage the IT Training Content team, including work prioritization, performance management, coaching, and professional development.
- Own the IT training content strategy, standards, templates, accessibility requirements, and quality expectations.
- Translate SME and application knowledge into clear, practical, role-based learning experiences.
- Facilitate structured SME knowledge-capture sessions, workflow walkthroughs, and change-impact discussions.
- Ensure SMEs review training materials for content accuracy, retaining ownership of instructional design decisions.
- Prioritize content development and maintenance work based on business impact, adoption risk, and application release schedules.
- Perform hands-on content updates for system upgrades, enhancements, and process changes.
- Manage content lifecycle activities, including version control, refresh cycles, and retirement of outdated materials.
- Review and approve content deliverables produced by the team to ensure consistency and quality.
- Partner with the IT Training Delivery and Adoption Manager to ensure content is delivery-ready and aligned with rollout and scheduling plans.
- Collaborate with the IT Training Analyst to review learner feedback, completion data, and adoption of metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay current with emerging learning technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities, and apply them responsibly to enhance training effectiveness, scalability, and insight.
- Expected to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to and engagement in work activities on behalf of the firm during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law.
- Special projects and duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite, or Microsoft 365.
- Must possess strong organizational skills, exceptional communication and writing abilities.
- Proven presentation and platform skills.
- Excellent technical coaching and counseling skills with the ability to effectively influence others to act and achieve objectives.
- Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and implement improvements.
- Proficiency in designing and developing online learning modules.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Education, Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in training, instructional design, or learning content development.
- Demonstrated experience personally developing training materials for enterprise or technical applications.
- Prior experience managing or leading instructional design and/or learning operations staff.
- Strong stakeholder-management, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of legal industry specific software is preferred (i.e., Document Management System).
- Ability to learn such software, as well as software developed in house required.
- Working knowledge of adult learning principles and accessibility standards.
- Experience balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on execution.

- Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
