About the Program

Union Home Mortgage’s L.E.A.D Internship Program provides a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and peers, Achieve personal goals, and Develop skills and knowledge. The program includes shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects, and corporate outings. Interns are treated like full-time Partners, working 40 hours per week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and are based at headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio.

About the Role

A Technical Solution Analyst Intern works closely with technical solution analysts, the innovation team, business users, and other technical team members to implement, configure, and maintain complex third-party software solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of solution requirements, planning, and executing implementation, and advocating concepts with internal business groups.
  • Build relationships with business function partners, understand their objectives, and establish trust and dialogue to support those needs.
  • Enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot existing applications with assistance from the team.
  • Assist business stakeholders in prioritizing project work, articulate clear prioritization and business justification to technology teams, and convey IT constraints and dependencies to business users.
  • Effectively communicate across business and technology teams to define project goals, objectives, solutions, and constraints.
  • Take part in the development and maintenance of strong partnerships with software providers, including vendor selection, contract/SLA management, operational support, and influencing future roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a 2-year or 4-year college degree in CIS, MIS, or equivalent.
  • Previous professional work experience (internships, other jobs, etc.).

Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to write effective data and process documentation (including business and system requirements, business process diagrams, and data flow diagrams).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Self-motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of a project and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet established deadlines.
  • Appetite for learning new systems and technology for future incorporation or integration into the loan production solution set.
