About the role
The IT technician supports the Institute for Family Health’s computing environment by providing onsite and remote support and maintenance. Responsibilities include installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware, business software, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Responds to issues or problems in a timely manner
- Provides business user assistance, documenting the process from inception to completion within service level agreements
- Travels to different site locations to support users or vendors

Skills
- Ability to troubleshoot computer, network, and application issues
- Knowledge of IT Operations and best practices in a business environment
- Understanding of Microsoft operating systems and navigation through interfaces
- Understanding of basic network concepts and devices
- Ability to create and follow documentation to resolve technical issues
- Ability to keep work areas neat, well organized, and accessible
- Ability to track issues assigned, document resolution, and follow up with users
- Ability to manage time well and stay accountable with assigned items
- Sounds understanding of Microsoft operating systems, configuration, and ability to perform administrative functions
- Fluent in troubleshooting Outlook, Word, and Excel applications
- Experience with using a Helpdesk ticketing system for tracking issues
- Experience with diverse hardware including PCs, laptops, and printers
- Understanding of basic networking concepts
Education/Licensure/Certification
- HS Diploma required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- CompTIA A+ preferred
- CompTIA Network+ preferred
- Certification in related subject matter preferred
- Valid driver’s license and car required
Linguistic Skills
- Speaks and writes English fluently
- Speaks and writes Spanish fluently preferred
