A Day in the Life of an IT Technical Analyst
This position is the first line of support for users who need IT assistance, completing or escalating requests. It also handles most tasks for IT onboarding of new employees, including laptop deployments, equipment ordering, and technical training. Days vary based on the tickets received and new hires expected. Technical analysts work on IT projects with colleagues within and beyond the IT department.
- Address help desk tickets for hardware and software issues, assisting users with patience
- Prepare new hires and facilitate a positive onboarding process by preparing their laptops, ordering equipment, and providing basic technical training
- Support technical projects such as infrastructure improvements and software changes
- Directly support lab environments and instruments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, related field, or related experience in lieu of education
- Intermediate understanding of various computer software and hardware
- Entry-level PowerShell skills with focus on Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365
- Strong people skills
Schedule
This is a full-time, in-office position, Monday–Friday, working 4 days/week from the Scottsdale, AZ office and 1 day/week from the Phoenix, AZ office with an 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule.
