Qualifications
- Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment is required
- Must be technically proficient – this is a consultant-style role, often functioning as a vCIO
- Strong understanding of Microsoft enterprise platforms and general IT infrastructure
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills – must be confident engaging with business leaders and end users alike
- This is not a sales role – it’s a relationship-driven, advisory position focused on long-term client trust and alignment
- IT certifications such as Net+, MCP, MCA, MCSE, Cloud, or Firewall certifications are a strong plus
- Prior experience in roles such as IT Project Engineer, Helpdesk or IT Management, or IT Sales Consulting is beneficial
- Must be able to translate technical concepts into business value for clients
- Proven track record of managing technical relationships and aligning IT initiatives with business goals
- Experience in creating strategic technology roadmaps and consulting on IT infrastructure decisions
- Able to collaborate effectively with internal engineers, project teams, and leadership
Responsibilities
- Conduct quarterly consultations with clients at a high technical and strategic level
- Provide technical recommendations during onboarding and long-term planning, including IT maturity assessments and roadmapping
- Work closely with other TAMs and internal teams to support a shared client base
- Create scopes of work for IT systems, hardware, and software implementations
- Lead strategic planning sessions with client stakeholders to support retention and growth
- Act as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal technical support teams
- Guide IT engineers and staff who support broader field teams
- Maintain strong, ongoing client relationships through regular check-ins, planning meetings, and needs assessments
- Stay current on industry trends, compliance standards, and evolving technology solutions
