Position Summary

S&P Air Control is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain the company's multi-site infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain physical and virtual server environments, including on-premises and cloud-based Windows and Linux systems
  • Manage and monitor backup systems, including scheduling, verification, and periodic recovery testing
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, identity management, and access controls
  • Serve as Tier 2/3 escalation support and assist with Tier 1 support as needed
  • Manage and resolve tickets within SLA requirements with clear and accurate documentation
  • Plan and execute infrastructure improvements and projects, including upgrades, deployments, and migrations
  • Maintain system documentation, SOPs, diagrams, and inventory records

  • Effectively prioritizes and manages multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

  • Upholds security, compliance, and operational best practices across all systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience/certifications
  • 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration
  • Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and endpoint management
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, policies, and subnetting)
  • Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and system issues
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills

Technical Experience

  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Entra, Intune, Defender, Azure)
  • 2+ years of experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox, etc.)

Preferred Experience

  • Powershell scripting and task automation
  • Experience with managing ERP systems (Infor Syteline)
  • Enterprise network platforms (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, UniFi)
  • VoIP systems (3CX, 8x8, or similar PBX solutions)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and transport IT equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to assemble, rack, and install hardware as needed

Work Environment

  • This position is on-site in Chattanooga, TN, with occasional travel to other company locations
  • This role may require participation in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work to support maintenance, upgrades, or critical incidents
