About the role
The Systems Administrator’s role is to ensure a smooth end-user technology experience to accomplish business tasks efficiently. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user service desk requests independently with assistance from other IT personnel as needed. The role is critical for maintaining a robust, high-functioning manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide top-tier technical support and customer service for end-user IT needs throughout the organization (local and remote) with a vigilant aim towards maintaining CMMC compliance.
- Assist with monitoring server health, backup and disaster recovery planning, workstation and server patching, security policy enforcement, and other IT-related tasks.
- Assume the lead role in various local and multi-site IT projects while still responding to user support requests and IT helpdesk technician escalations.
- Create and maintain internal and client-facing documentation on IT systems and processes.
- Responsible for the installation and maintenance of the company’s IT assets.
- Perform ERP system administration and direct Finance support for physical inventory and cost roll processes.
- Advanced technical support for typical office environment equipment (PC, printer, network), line of business applications, Microsoft operating systems and Office products, and phone devices.
- Provide JDE tier 1 user assistance and user set-up.
- Provide for daily backup and emergency restoration of network disk drives.
- Perform software patching in coordination with corporate-based resources.
- Participate in development of computer applications training.
- Work closely with security officer to meet audit and compliance requirements.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and customers.

Requirements
- Excellent technical writing and customer service skills for documentation and effective ticket management.
- Ability to manage yourself and projects in a timely manner and with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to multi-task in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
- Support Hyper-V servers (SAN and Hosts).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Working knowledge of other software packages including MS Office, VPN, CAD Applications, etc.
- Working knowledge of Intel-based PCs and Servers (Dell preferred).
- Working knowledge of local and network printer/copier support, configuration, and installation.
- Experience in creating end-user documentation and providing IT training.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
- Three years of corporate experience in a similar position with a proven track record in supporting a multi-user environment.
Qualifications
- College degree in computer science or related area or related certifications.
- IT certifications are desired but not required.

Pay
The compensation range for this position is $78,200 – $117,200 annually. Initial salaries are not typically placed at the top of the range; progression toward the upper end is based on performance and demonstrated proficiency. This position may be eligible for a performance-based bonus plan.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) or safety gear, provided by the company.

Manufacturing & Production Areas:
- Work performed on the shop floor, in climate-controlled spaces, or clean rooms. Some areas may be noisy, dusty, or warm.
- Mandatory use of job-specific PPE and machine guards.
- Occasional bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.; some roles require pushing loaded carts.
Office & Sales Roles:
- Climate-controlled office setting with occasional visits to production areas.
- Occasional bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- May require travel by air or car to attend conferences or visit customer sites.
- Remote/home office environments may vary.
