IT System Engineer (m/f/d)

Requirements

• Proven experience as a systems engineer, system administrator, or DevOps in Linux and Windows environments
• Experience with relational databases and knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
• Proficiency in scripting, especially Shell and Python (PowerShell is an advantage)
• Solid understanding of IT security; knowledge of cryptography is an advantage
• Understanding of modern software architectures; experience in backend or embedded software development (Java, C#, C/C++) is a strong advantage
• Business-fluent English, both spoken and written; knowledge of other European or MENA languages is an advantage
• Independent, solution-oriented style of work with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Impeccable record (required for high-security employer)

Responsibilities

• IT infrastructure and software installation/configuration in a test environment
• Assistance with system installations at customer sites
• Active participation in software testing, problem analysis, and troubleshooting
• Creation of detailed problem reports for developers and tracking their resolution
• Working on test and deployment automation
• Customer support on software- and infrastructure-related issues, both remote and on-site
• Preparing technical and user documentation (in English)

Pay

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 65,000 gross/year (38.5 hours per week), plus special payments. An overpayment in line with market rates is available depending on qualifications and experience. An all-in contract is provided for this position.
