Precision IO Group is a newly formed entity created through the combination of Quantum Surgical and NeuWave Medical, dedicated to advancing cutting‑edge innovation in interventional oncology. The organization integrates robotics, AI, and remote procedures to transform tumor ablation and interventional oncology care.

We are seeking an experienced System Engineer to join our IT organization during a critical period of enterprise transformation. As PIO consolidates dual IT environments into a unified global infrastructure, you will design, implement, and maintain cloud platforms, on‑premises systems, and hybrid infrastructure supporting manufacturing, quality systems, ERP, and enterprise collaboration tools across U.S. and international facilities. You will modernize our infrastructure stack, support Microsoft 365 tenant consolidation, and ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 27001, and EU regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, AWS) and on‑premises virtualization platforms to support enterprise applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, ComplianceQuest, and others.
• Lead Microsoft 365 tenant consolidation and Azure AD/Entra ID configuration, including SSO, MFA, conditional access, and governance across geographically distributed teams.
• Architect and implement hybrid networking solutions connecting Madison (NeuWave) and Montpellier (Quantum) facilities with redundancy and business continuity.
• Establish security frameworks aligned with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 13485, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA requirements.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans; perform capacity planning and infrastructure optimization.
• Collaborate with vendor partners to deliver infrastructure services and support 24/7 global operations.
• Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 IT staff on infrastructure best practices, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop technical documentation, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures aligned with NIST and ISO standards.
• Participate in change management and infrastructure review cycles; recommend technology roadmap improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
• 7–10+ years of systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud architecture experience in enterprise environments.
• Expert proficiency with Microsoft Azure, Azure Stack, or Hyper‑V; hands‑on experience managing large‑scale cloud migrations.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Azure AD (Entra ID) administration and governance.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, SD‑WAN, network segmentation, and firewall configuration.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning; knowledge of RPO/RTO concepts and failover testing.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; ability to work cross‑functionally with business and IT stakeholders.
• Preferred: Experience managing global IT infrastructure; background in regulated industries (medtech, pharma, biotech).

Physical requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer workstation.
• Ability to lift and carry IT equipment and networking hardware up to 50 pounds.

Travel requirements

Up to 15 % travel required (domestic/international as applicable) for infrastructure assessments, disaster recovery testing, or maintenance windows.

This position will be based in Madison, Wisconsin at the NeuWave Medical facility.
