IT Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Make customer recommendations for IT system upgrades including networks, servers, and storage
• Configure and set up network infrastructures
• Resolve the most difficult networking issues
• Assist on projects beyond networking, including PC and Windows Server setups
• Deliver excellent customer service presence
• Exercise strong verbal and written communication skills
• Apply strong project management ability

Requirements

• Firewall, switch, and access point management
• Configuring complete network solutions including VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN, etc.
• Working with telecom vendors to specify solutions based on customer need and budget
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 including Active Directory and Group Policies
• Workstation operating systems: Windows 7/8/10/11
• Microsoft Office 365
• Security solutions including disk encryption, secure messaging, and DNS filtering
• Virtualization technologies including Hyper-V and VMware
• Image-based backup and disaster recovery solutions

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a technology support role
• Small/medium-sized business support experience across a variety of technologies
• Experience working for a managed services provider

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree
