Bolton & Menk is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our IT Work Group and provide firm-wide technical support. This position is based in our Mankato location and offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals, making a lasting impact on the communities we serve. Responsibilities
- Work with end users to identify and deliver required service levels.
- Construct, install, configure, test, and maintain customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems.
- Collaborate with support technicians and specialists to ensure efficient operation of the company’s computing environment.
- Monitor and maintain on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems for a variety of end users; recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
- Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future systems needs.
- Support implementation of new projects and new installations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware, software, and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
- Liaise with third-party support and vendors if necessary.
- Aid in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan executables, and respond to crises in accordance with these plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's degree and 1+ years of experience in a related computer field or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent technical knowledge of network, software systems, and PC hardware and software.
- Hands-on hardware/software troubleshooting experience.
- Extensive equipment support experience.
- Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
- Ability to fill multiple roles simultaneously.
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as travel to various job sites may be required.

- Experience with Windows Domain Administration.

Pay
Salary range: $55,000 – $72,000, depending on years of experience and credentials.
