About the role

Provides technical support, including maintenance and installation for desktop and mobile device software and hardware. Analyzes and resolves related problems. Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher staff member; the incumbent does not supervise others and performs related work as required. The position supports the Mt. Morris and Keshequa districts.

Requirements

The Civil Service title, description, and required qualifications can be found here: IT Support Tech I. Minimum qualifications are:

• Possession of an Associate’s Degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Engineering Technology or a related field; OR
• Possession of an Associate’s Degree PLUS twelve (12) college credits in Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field; OR
• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma AND two (2) years of full‑time paid experience (or its part‑time equivalent) gained within the past five (5) years, which involved the operation and maintenance of personal computers or mobile devices AND the resolution of software and hardware problems pertaining to these devices; OR
• An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (1), (2) or (3) above.

Pay

Salary/Pay Scale: $40,560.00 - $43,947.03
