User Support

  • Provide support and training to all users on all company-wide network systems
  • Track user support requests and system failures through the Help Desk System; assign tickets to other IT personnel, as needed
  • Configure and install PC hardware and software, to include upgrades and special configuration scenarios
  • Configure and support all company approved mobile devices and applications
  • Provide new employees with an orientation of the computer systems and procedures
  • Add new users in Microsoft AD as specified by account requests and perform other administrative functions within AD
  • Handle inventories, files, and other IT-related data processing tasks

Network Support

  • Troubleshoot and fine-tune: print queues, print servers, connectivity issues, client configuration(s) as required, and monitor systems
  • Recommend, install, and configure LAN equipment, PCs, peripherals, and software
  • Aid in obtaining specifications and selecting computer software and equipment based on various factors including user needs and productivity
  • Maintain documentation for all hardware and software
  • Maintain and troubleshoot company cellular and VoIP Phone Systems

Leadership & Budget Responsibilities

Provides guidance where appropriate. Participates in the budget process as required.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school, and 2 years related experience preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience would be acceptable.
  • IT related certifications are a plus.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; work with hands; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach above shoulder height; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Good knowledge of computer systems (software and hardware)
  • Basic Active Directory administration experience
  • Familiarity with virtualization software, i.e., VMWare
  • Desktop/laptop imaging experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Windows XP/Windows 7/Windows 10
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (2010/2013/2016)
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Project management skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
