IT Support Technician Duties And Responsibilities
- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems for users, computer software and hardware
- Communicates solutions to end-users
- Delivers, tags, sets up, and assists in the configurations of end-user PC desktop/laptop hardware, software, and peripherals
- Diagnoses and resolves end-user network or local printer problems, PC hardware, software, internet, and local-area network access problems
- Captures and documents end-user issues and resolutions
- Coordinates timely repair of PC/laptop computers
- Completes application project-based work
- Troubleshoots computer problems, determines sources and advises on appropriate action
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or related field
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Experience with network infrastructure and protocols
- Basic knowledge of server administration
- Experience with remote access tools and technologies
- Proficiency in using diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
Skills
- Technical proficiency with Windows operating systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
Pay
The expected salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $70,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
