About the role
The IT Support Specialist provides hands-on, on-site technology support for a multi-clinic dental group. This position serves as the boots-on-the-ground IT resource for the organization and works closely with the company's third-party IT support provider to ensure technology needs across all clinics are addressed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site IT resource across multiple dental clinics
- Work closely with the company's third-party IT provider to resolve technology issues and complete IT projects
- Respond to and assist with IT tickets that require on-site support
- Communicate with the third-party IT provider regarding open tickets, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues
- Purchase and configure computers, servers, and other IT equipment
- Set up computers and technology for new and existing users
- Install computers, networking equipment, and other technology at clinic locations
- Provide hands-on IT support across multiple dental clinics
- Troubleshoot computer, hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Support clinic teams with day-to-day technology needs
- Assist with networking and connectivity issues
- Maintain an accurate inventory and log of computers, servers, networking equipment, and other hardware
- Coordinate replacement and deployment of technology equipment
- Help identify technology needs and recommend appropriate equipment and solutions
- Travel to clinic locations as needed to provide on-site support
- Assist with technology-related projects and clinic moves or expansions
- Perform other technology and hands-on support tasks as needed
Schedule
Part-time – Approximately 80 hours per month. Schedule will vary based on clinic needs, IT projects, and on-site support requirements.
