About the role
The IT Support Specialist will provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students across campus. This includes troubleshooting computer issues, managing software installations, and assisting with network connectivity problems.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Install and configure software applications as needed.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Document procedures and solutions for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant IT support experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and common software applications.
Qualifications
- Experience with network troubleshooting and administration.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
Skills
- Technical proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex IT issues.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
