Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for end users across manufacturing, office, and remote locations, providing support via phone, email, in-person, and remote tools
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, shop floor terminals, and Wi-Fi/VPN, with a focus on minimizing production downtime
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows systems, applications, and peripheral equipment in both office and manufacturing environments
- Support day-to-day use of the ERP system (Axis by Aptean), assisting users with data entry, basic troubleshooting, and documentation; partner with the ERP Manager for more complex issues
- Manage helpdesk tickets, prioritize based on business impact, and escalate as needed
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, asset inventory tracking, and hardware/software audits across manufacturing equipment and IT infrastructure
- Document issue resolutions and create user guides or quick reference materials to reduce recurring problems
- Assist with IT onboarding/offboarding, software deployments, and small-scale projects such as system upgrades or device rollouts
- Collaborate with the IT team, production supervisors, and vendors to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of IT support or helpdesk experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Hands-on experience with hardware, software, Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users
- Self-motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable taking ownership of issues
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting, with occasional off-hours or on-call support for critical issues
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with manufacturing-specific IT systems, including industrial PCs, shop floor data collection devices, and barcode/RFID systems
- Exposure to multi-site or hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud), including basic Azure or Microsoft 365 administration
- Experience working cross-functionally with production teams, operations, or external vendors in an industrial setting
