About the Opportunity
The IT Support Specialist role focuses on managing internal technology support, device lifecycle management, and employee onboarding/offboarding related to IT systems. This position supports the organization by ensuring smooth technology operations and contributing to cost optimization and technical project support, directly impacting operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee technology issues, including hardware, software, and account access
- Troubleshoot routine technical issues and escalate complex problems as needed
- Maintain an internal knowledge base for common technical issues and resolutions
- Manage device inventory, order equipment, and coordinate hardware delivery for new hires
- Conduct onboarding sessions for software installation and account access
- Install and administer remote monitoring and support software on company devices
- Provision and deprovision employee accounts, software licenses, and device access based on role changes
- Monitor software license usage to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Recommend software consolidation and license optimization strategies
- Assist with technology system upgrades, rollouts, and IT projects
- Maintain technology documentation and internal support resources
- Research and recommend technology solutions to meet organizational needs
Requirements
- Technical degree or relevant certifications
- 0–2 years of experience in a technical support or IT role
- Ability to quickly learn new technical platforms and user workflows
- Strong creative problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred experience with LastPass, HubSpot, Asana, PandaDoc, Zoom, Slack, Toggl, Ninety, and Google Workspace
- Experience evaluating and recommending new software solutions is a plus
Pay
$50,000–$60,000 USD annually, based on experience
