About the role
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic and growing IT team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring our systems are efficient, secure, and up-to-date, supporting the achievement of team and company goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical support for Particle Measuring Systems, software applications, and related hardware.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers as required.
- Document and track customer issues and resolutions.
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Participate in the development and improvement of IT support processes and procedures.
- Manage AD users and groups, permissions, and email systems.
- Support Microsoft 365/Azure environment with emphasis on Outlook, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint applications.
- Continuously evaluate processes for improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and software systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft 365 and Azure environment.
- General Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange (On-Premise and Online).
- General Knowledge of Hypervisor technology (Hyper-V and VMware).
- Understanding of networking including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
- Understanding of Microsoft Server technologies including Active Directory, File/Folder Permissions, Print Management, Remote Desktop, etc.
- Experience with cloud-based technology and applications.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong and creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-growing team.
- Excellent customer service.
