About the role
The IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the IT needs of OneSpa World, a global provider of beauty, wellness, and transformation services. This position involves handling a wide range of technology issues, from computer systems and networks to mobile devices and audio-visual equipment.
Responsibilities
- Handle support mailboxes: Create, resolve, assign levels, and escalate support tickets.
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Maintain and monitor computer systems and networks.
- Respond promptly to service issues and requests.
- Provide technical support across the company (in person, over the phone, or via email).
- Manage user accounts, including setup, additions, moves, changes, terminations, and repairs/replacements.
- Provide remote support to various locations and vessels.
- Aid in IT projects and assist with development support for proprietary technologies or applications.
- Deploy support for all technologies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical users on proprietary software and other IT aspects.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT Support or technical help desk roles.
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), or similar certification.
- Experience with Active Directory administration.
- Knowledge of networking technologies and concepts.
- Basic understanding of SQL and SQL scripting.
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and flexible working hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with IT support and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Citrix and SQL.
Skills
- Windows OS versions and Microsoft Applications proficiency.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Ability to train non-technical users.
- Flexibility to work weekends and international travel as required.
