Responsibilities
- Responding to requests for technical support in a timely fashion
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting environmental (server/hardware/operating system/software/printer/KIP plotter) issues
- Engineering support: Analyzing, identifying and resolving technical issues related to plan and drawing production in AutoCAD Civil3D
- Hardware Setup: configure, unbox, and deploy new Windows 10/11 laptops and desktop workstations for employees
- Aiding with the development, maintenance and documentation of IT systems, processes and procedures
- Draft user guide documents
- Aiding in asset management: Track equipment check-outs and maintain accurate, up-to-date hardware and software asset inventory
- Server & VPN Maintenance: Help monitor local Windows Servers, check backups, and assist remote users with connectivity issues
- Aid the IT Team with hands-on tasks during large-scale network infrastructure updates and office-wide software rollouts
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of general workplace IT experience in a position involving regular and routine support of desktops and laptops running Windows 10 or 11
- General networking knowledge (understanding TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi connectivity, and basic routers)
- Familiarity with or high willingness to learn Windows Server environments
- Previous employment in a position involving routine AutoCAD set up, configuration and troubleshooting, strongly preferred
- Basic experience with PowerShell programming or scripting is a plus
- Strong communication skills, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional travel to regional office locations
