IT Support Specialist

About the role

Hazelett Corporation is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our Information Technology team. This role serves as the first point of contact for employee IT support requests, troubleshooting hardware, software, printer, mobile device, and workstation issues, and supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and related business applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee IT support requests.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, mobile device, and workstation issues.
• Configure, install, and deploy new computers, peripherals, and software.
• Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
• Aid with user account administration, permissions, and access management.
• Document technical solutions, procedures, and system configurations.
• Assist with system backups and data recovery processes.
• Test new software releases and recommend improvements.
• Follow IT security policies and help maintain a secure technology environment.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when appropriate.
• Provide outstanding customer service while supporting employees throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Experience providing technical support in an IT support or help desk environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• A customer-focused attitude and commitment to providing exceptional service.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.
• Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends when required.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Salary

The base pay range for this full-time position is $26.00 - $30.00 hourly.
