IT Support Specialist
Carroll College is seeking a self-motivated individual to join the Campus Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) department as an IT Support Specialist. This role is part of the User Services team and provides campus-wide technology support to end-users, with a focus on Help Desk services delivered via phone, web, or walk-in.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve technology support requests from end-users.
- Escalate issues to other CCIT staff members as needed and keep customers updated on the status of their requests.
- Provide employee training related to technology, including onboarding for new employees on accounts, email, and network drive storage.
- Perform network administration tasks, including account creation and general maintenance of network accounts.
- Coordinate support services such as Help Desk requests, short-term projects, computer upgrades, hardware requests, telephone and cell phone account management, and print services.
- Support student retention by assisting with computer-related issues and ensuring incoming students are technically prepared for success at Carroll.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus 2 years of IT support experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
