IT Support Partner- PC Refresh
Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented PC Refresh Technician (Contractor) to support a long-term laptop refresh initiative. This role focuses exclusively on hands-on PC refresh activities and associated shipping and asset tracking tasks for a large-scale refresh of approximately 4,600 pre-purchased laptops, with work projected through 2026 and potentially beyond.
About the role
This is a fully onsite, contract-to-hire position based in La Crosse, WI. The role is entry-level and involves performing "station two" PC refresh tasks, shipping and logistics duties, and maintaining accurate asset tracking documentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform PC refresh “station two” tasks, including:
- Renaming computers
- Running standardized scripts
- Installing driver updates
- Preparing and distributing connection/setup information to end users
- Execute shipping and logistics duties:
- Wipe down systems and prepare devices for shipment
- Box laptops and print FedEx shipping labels
- Accurately record tracking numbers and asset details in ServiceNow
- Follow detailed, written procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Collaborate with internal IT staff; escalate issues as needed (complex troubleshooting handled by existing IT teams)

Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour.
