Help Desk & Technical Support
- Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues both remotely and on-site.
- Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, by phone, and electronically in a timely, professional manner.
- Provide technical support for computer hardware, software, mobile devices, and network issues through the Help Desk.
- Identify, prioritize, and escalate issues requiring urgent attention.
- Request assistance from, or escalate issues to, the appropriate resource when needed.
- Support conference room audio/visual (A/V) setup and troubleshooting.
Employee Support & Communication
- Listen patiently to understand each employee's issue or concern.
- Communicate the status of open issues regularly through resolution.
- Deliver a positive, customer-focused support experience.
Documentation & Systems
- Use Help Desk software to accurately track and record all support tickets.
- Aid in creating and updating knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with users to gather requirements and help determine hardware, software, and system specifications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products (Windows, Exchange, Office 365) is required.
- A strong attention to detail and willingness to learn are important qualities.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is beneficial.
- This is an on-site position with occasional field visits.
- Field visits and equipment transportation require a willingness to ride along and assist with equipment transport.
- The role involves exposure to various office environments, including high, medium, or low noise levels.
- Handling stress appropriately, especially when managing critical or escalated issues, is essential.
- Professional communication with coworkers, management, and vendors is crucial.
- The role includes regular sitting or standing, bending, stooping, and carrying equipment and materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Frequent talking is required, with the ability to express and exchange ideas clearly and effectively.
- Near acuity is necessary, with clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
- The ability to handle a combination of in-office (desk-based) support and on-site field tasks, requiring flexibility in adapting to different work environments, is important.
