Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line technical support for all hardware, software, and network-related issues for our faculty, staff, and students.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and other essential classroom technology.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner, minimising disruption to educational activities.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to network resources and school-wide systems.
- Affiliate with the maintenance and management of the school's network infrastructure, including servers and wireless networks.
- Maintain a detailed inventory of all IT equipment and software licences.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance the learning experience.
- Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures and user guides.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the school's data and IT systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an IT support role or a similar technical position.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- A patient, professional, and customer-focused approach to support.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Experience working within an educational environment is highly desirable.
- An alignment with the Christian values and mission of Cumberland Christian School.
Pay
A competitive hourly rate of $30.00 - $50.00, dependent on skills and experience.
Schedule
The position is full-time.
