About the Role
The IT Supervisor, Corporate Application Systems, supports corporate application delivery and helps guide the transition from on-premise systems to cloud-based platforms across multiple user groups. This role provides leadership for a team of developers and business analysts responsible for application support, configuration, security, integrations, reporting, and change management. Working with stakeholders, the supervisor advances digital transformation efforts that streamline processes, improve the employee experience, and support data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate application software projects, including planning, delivery, and ongoing support for technologies essential to corporate services.
- Provide direction to corporate application developers and business analysts supporting software development life cycle activities across multiple corporate user groups.
- Contribute to platform and application strategies for the corporate application team, with guidance from IT leadership and input from business stakeholders.
- Work with vendors on renewals, support agreements, service delivery, and contract details that support financial forecasting and technology planning.
- Coordinate with IT and business leaders and provide timely updates on projects, support tickets, and problem-management activities.
- Help define, communicate, and support service-level expectations and metrics for corporate technologies.
- Support the development, maintenance, and consistent application of IT policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of formal education and work experience.
- Eight to ten years of relevant experience (minimum of seven years required).
- Typically includes two years in a leadership role.
- Experience leading an application support team or coordinating software implementation projects.
- 1–3 years of experience leading work efforts, projects, or teams preferred.
- Ability to help identify, prioritize, and coordinate application support and project requirements with vendors, process owners, and business leaders.
- Demonstrated understanding of cloud technologies and cloud software implementation projects.
- Working knowledge of on-premise technology patching, maintenance, and related operational support activities.
- Familiarity with integrated software solutions that support multiple business functions, business processes, and related technologies.
- Participation in advising business partners on software solutions and helping leadership understand related costs, benefits, and tradeoffs.
- Experience with the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, RFP development, software evaluation, project methodologies, testing, deployment, and release or configuration change communications.
- Knowledge or training in interpersonal communication, customer service, issue tracking and escalation, and project management.
- Ability to prepare information, support meetings and presentations, and communicate effectively with direct reports, peers, and management.
- Read and write fluently in English.
- Applicable driver's license; occasionally required to travel to field operations service centers.
- Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions verbally; conduct oral presentations and/or meetings.
- Mobility to travel in and around office facilities as well as other work locations and/or job sites.
- Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
