About the role

Responsibilities
- Serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the NAVY BLUE TEAM SAN DIEGO DIVISION (NBTSD), OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT (OPS), at NAVAL NETWORK WARFARE COMMAND (NAVNETWARCOM).
- Evaluate operational shortfalls and assess command readiness to achieve its mission, utilizing performance measures to effectively characterize and prioritize critical operational needs relative to global mission requirements.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers in concert with Detachment leadership to plan, deploy/employ, Blue Team forces to achieve operational tasking.
- Review higher-level guidance and develop project planning products to fully document, prioritize, synchronize, and deliver intended tasks and outcomes.
- Develop detailed project plans and artifacts.
- Assess and operate emergent technologies to verify mission effectiveness and utility.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Must be registered for Selective Service.
- Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Must complete a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana).
- Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- Must ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
- Must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
- Experience demonstrating Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
- Experience conducting cooperative vulnerability assessments, analyzing cyber threats and vulnerabilities, using technical processing methods and approaches for exchanging and/or assembling information through the use of IT networks, applications, tools and systems, planning and conducting IT performance assessments, security risk analysis, evaluating functionality to the user, and determining future needs, leading the strategic evaluation of cybersecurity software, hardware, and operational tools, and planning IT performance assessments, conducting security risk analyses, validating user functionality, and forecasting future technological needs.
