IT SPECIALIST (ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE/ SYSTEMS ANALYSIS)

This position is located in the Readiness Reporting Branch of Commander, US Fleet Forces Command.

About the Role

You will serve as the Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise (NRRE) Project Officer responsible for analyzing, planning, and managing the information system infrastructure to meet enterprise business requirements, strategies, and mission goals.

• Manage teams of contractors and serve as a technical authority, directing the implementation of cross-functional Agile solutions while ensuring the integration of all applicable systems (e.g., Microsoft Azure Government Cloud).
• Recommend objectives and courses of action to support operations, system design, testing, implementation, configuration management standards, system interoperability, training, and maintenance.
• Develop long-range strategies to address evolving technology requirements by monitoring existing plans, projecting future program development, and ensuring the integration of all systems components.
• Ensure the development and implementation of information technology architecture, infrastructure, design, and activities align with DoD and DON policy and practices.
• Perform comprehensive program management responsibilities related to the execution of the NRRE Operations and Sustainment contract and participate in the development of execution year spending plans.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must include:

• Managing all activities of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Agile-based project management, software release management, contract and financial management, Risk Management Framework (RMF), change management, IT operations, incident management, and policy interpretation.
• Applying business process engineering concepts and methods to lead or conduct studies identifying potential improvements in IT application to key business functions.
• Developing and interpreting policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout the agency.
• Providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.
• Applying new developments to previously unsolvable problems and making decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important agency IT policies or programs.
• Understanding the interrelationships of multiple IT specialties, the agency's IT architecture, new IT developments and applications, emerging technologies, IT security concepts, standards, and methods, and project management principles.
